A transsiberian Railway tour for the Goethe Institute Russia
In September 2011, representatives of the youth cultures in Germany and Russia, voice trainers, footbagers, rappers and puppeteers, travelled from Moscow to the south, north and east of Russia. On this trip, they met Russian students in colorful, entertaining performances and told them how the German youth lives.
In three weeks, the three teams of the project traveled more than 12500 km of railways and visited 19 cities. In every city, there was a three-hour street event – an impressive interactive show with music, games and gifts. Each of the actors was interacting with the visitors to make it a live performance. In addition, travelers visited some schools in each city and held original interactive workshops. Russian students had the opportunity to get in contact with German language and to try it out.
